TERMS AND CONDITIONS Eleven dinners with wine are included. Twelve breakfasts are included. If you are booking a single room for the entire trip, a Single Supplement of $1560 will be added to your final invoice. Group singing lessons are included. Performances from guest musicians are included. Daily track notes and maps are included. Daily luggage transfer to your hotel is included. Access to the support vehicle is included. Flights and transfers are not included.
The daily walking is self-guided. All participants must certify that they are physically, emotionally and mentally fit to embark on a walk averaging 22km per day, for 10 walking days, however it is possible to nominate to walk shorter daily distances. Much of the accommodation is not located on the Camino and requires transport provided by our support van. Shortened walking days are facilitated by drop-offs at planned locations along the day's route, with participants then walking to the same pick up point as the rest of the group. Logistics do not allow us to offer our support van service for unplanned pick up locations, except in the case of emergencies. Taxis are generally available for participants who do not wish to plan the length of their days' walk, at their own expense.
All participants must provide proof of currently effective vaccination against CoVid19 at the time of tour commencement, for example proof of receiving a CoVid booster 4-6 weeks prior to tour commencement. If this is not possible for medical or availability reasons, evidence must be provided. To minimise the spread of all viruses, participants who develop symptoms during the tour will be required to travel, sleep and dine separately to the group for the duration of their potentially contagious period. If additional single rooms are required, these will be at the expense of the participants. Separate transport and dining costs in the case of illness are included in the tour price.
All participants must have adequate travel insurance to participate, and a copy of your policy must be provided to Jessie Vintila prior to tour commencement. Please purchase your travel insurance at the time of booking to ensure full coverage. Please choose a travel insurance policy that adequately responds to cancellation and rescheduling risks associated with Force Majeure events.
Jessie Vintila will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft or injury incurred. Jessie Vintila reserves the right to exclude or remove any person from any tour. In the case of potentially viral symptoms, participants with symptoms who do not initiate and maintain self-isolation and effective mask-wearing, to best protect group safety against contagion, will be immediately removed from the tour. All care will be taken to attend to any extra needs of unwell participants who are self-isolating.
Your 20% deposit is non-refundable. You will be sent an invoice for the outstanding 80% balance to be paid by direct transfer. Full payment must be received 91 days prior to tour commencement date.
Cancellations made by you
Cancellations made by you within 58 days prior to tour commencement date are subject to a 40% cancellation fee. Cancellations made by you within 30 days prior to tour commencement date are subject to a 60% cancellation fee. Cancellations made by you within 14 days prior to tour commencement date are non-refundable.
Cancellations made by Sing the Camino
In the event of Sing the Camino being cancelled due to insufficient numbers, you would be notified and 100% of all money paid would be refunded. A Waiver Form must be signed by all Sing The Camino participants, which will be sent to you after paying your deposit. If you disagree with any of the conditions on the Waiver Form you will not be able to participate and your deposit will be refunded, provided you notify Sing the Camino within 72 hours of receiving the Waiver Form. If we cancel your trip due to circumstances outside our control, you can transfer to an alternative departure date, or alternatively receive a refund less any unrecoverable costs.
Prices are based on costs and exchange rates applicable at the time of invoicing. Sing the Camino reserves the right to adjust prices whether or not you have already made full payment. We will do everything within our control not to adjust prices and will generally only amend prices in the event of marked fluctuations in exchange rates or other operating costs on which prices are based.
Cancellations due to Force Majeure Events
We reserve the right to cancel any trip prior to departure due to natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, disease outbreak, extreme weather or any other event outside our control that would make it dangerous or not viable for the trip to begin or continue (Force Majeure). In such a case, we will do our best to postpone the trip or provide you with an alternative itinerary.
In these Booking Terms and Conditions, the term Force Majeure means an event or events beyond our control and which we could not have reasonably prevented, and includes but is not limited to: (a) natural disasters (including not limited to flooding, fire, earthquake, landslide, volcanic eruption), adverse weather conditions (including hurricane or cyclone), high or low water levels; (b) war, armed conflict, industrial dispute, civil strife, terrorist activity or the threat of such acts; epidemic, pandemic; (d) any new or change in law, order, decree, rule or regulation of any government authority (including travel advisories and restrictions).
Force Majeure – Prior to travel
If in our reasonable opinion we consider that your travel arrangements cannot safely or lawfully proceed due to a Force Majeure Event then we at our discretion may elect to:
· reschedule your travel arrangements (in whole or in part); and/or
· cancel your travel arrangements (in whole or in part), in which case our contract with you will terminate (in whole or in part).
If we cancel any of your travel arrangements, neither of us will have any claim for damages against the other for the cancelled arrangements. However, we will refund payments attributable to the cancelled travel arrangements less: (a) unrecoverable third-party costs and other expenses incurred by us for the cancelled travel arrangements; (b) overhead charges incurred by us relative to the price of the cancelled travel arrangements; and (c) fair compensation for work undertaken by us in relation to the cancelled travel arrangements until the time of cancellation and in connection with the processing of any refund.
Force Majeure – During travel
If due to Force Majeure we cancel travel arrangements after your trip has commenced, we will provide you with a refund of recoverable third-party costs for cancelled travel arrangements only.
Force Majeure – General
If we provide you with any alternative services or assistance where travel arrangements are cancelled or rescheduled due to Force Majeure, then you agree the amount to be refunded to you will be reduced by the value of these services already expended by Sing the Camino. You acknowledge that the terms in this section are reasonably necessary to protect our legitimate business interests.
